Prototype Description

Body Model Super Chief (F7 EMD A unit) Produced 1949 - 1953. Built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division USA, and General Motors Diesel Canada. This train is famous because of the popular Hollywood VIPs who used the line, however GM"s original design was for a freight engine.The Santa Fe Railroad company operated the Super Chief and El Capitan. The colors and war bonnet make the engine both memorable and unique. The F7 series excelled at "Through Freight" its engine producing 1500 Horsepower.
